World Alzheimer’s Days

Today 21st September 2015 is World Alzheimer’s Day.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, a group of disorders that impairs mental functioning and affects 850,000 people in the UK.
Singing provides a way for people with dementia, to express themselves and socialise with others. The Alzheimer’s Society provide a wonderful service, Singing for the Brain, which uses singing to bring people together in a friendly and stimulating social environment.
To mark World Alzheimer’s Day I am reducing the price of my Power of Singing Day until Wednesday from £65 to £55.
Power of Singing explores the benefits of singing and the power of your voice. The first interactive singing workshop day is on Sunday 27th September at Norton Park Hotel, Winchester, Hampshire.
Singing has always had an important place in society and The Power of Singing will help us release the power of our own voice through exercises and song and look at the many amazing health benefits of singing and how singing has a huge impact on our well being.
