Mental Practice

‘Sports people use mentual practice to help them, learn their skills, by rehearsing the physical action in their mind.’
Well, we can do exactly that with our music practice too.
‘We can play back our scales, pieces and songs in our mind, focusing on which finger goes on which note, or where a song goes up and down. Mentally singing the song or playing the piece of music, or even picturing the music and lyrics in your mind’s eye really helps to concrete it in.’
This not only helps with our practice but it also means that there can be no more excuse’s for not practicing as we always have our brain’s with us!!
